冬至快樂

We celebrate 冬至 today and mum wake up earlier than usual to prepare 湯圓 for everyone. As both kids are still sleeping, I might as well pick up a skill or 2 from my mum on making this fave dessert well-loved by hb and me.

Preparing of the dough for rolling into smaller pieces....

Boil all five colour of 湯圓 separately...

Wenz wake up while mum is halfway thru boiling the 湯圓. We let her experience the making of it and she loves doing it. Gong-gong patiently teaches her the step of rolling it.

Does she looks like she's making a wish? Hahaha

Cooling down state to prevent carry-over cooking....

Boiling of the peanuts in pressure cooker to cut down time and preparation of the soup....

Hmm....A Bowl of Yummy-licious 湯圓!
