Princess Craze

It was a long time since I updated on missy's happenings. She has kena the "Princess Poison" so deeply as she has been watching princesses and fairies movies lately. She will associate anything that was done with princess or fairy. Her temper and bad behaviour has toned down mainly due to her yearn to be a Princess. Each time she throws a tantrum, I'll tell her she's a bad queen, a fungus or a witch (u will noe wat i mean if u ever watch the Barbie series) and she will immediately stop the tantrum and says she wants to be a princess. Well, at least this method works for now.

Look at the barbie movies she has got, think juz another few more titles and we will complete the whole Barbie series liao.

There was a Children's Day celebration organised by her school and the theme was "Kids in Fairy Land". I dressed Wenz up as a fairy and boy she was elated. She participated in the Best Dressed Contest and I bot all those fairy stuffs purposely for the event.

Every children has a present and of course there was top 3 prizes for the best dressed candidates. The 2nd runner-up went to a boy in Batman suit, 1st runner-up to a gal in Princess gown and No. 1 trophy went to a boy in Pirate Suit.

I could hear some parents sighed in disappointment but I was at all not disappointed. Most importantly is my gal enjoyed herself being a fairy princess and how often can she wear this outfit right?

Though she didn't clinch any top prize, she is already our No. 1. We went to play various games and did up various activities to get a stamp at different counters on our admission ticket. Every child needs 3 stamps to claim the goody bag. But we completed all stations with all 9 stamps on our ticket.

The last activity we did was hand painting and we had Teacher Karren painted a yummy juicy looking 'strawberry' on her hand.

Before we proceeded with the activity which was the boing...boing bouncer, I had her fairy princess outfit changed to singlet and shorts instead.
Tat was a her fave station as I could see her face brightened up with smiles and laughter inside jumping about like a lil' monkey.

After which I bought her a juicy yummy gummy strawberry candypop as a reward for being No. 1 Princess and I told her I was so proud of her. Happy Children's Day, Princess :)

爺爺的生日

My FL is in high spirit tonight on his birthday celebration talking about yesterday F1 race with yummy food, beer and nuts. He went on non-stop abt his live experience at marina and of course some other talk-cock topics. He was feeling contented seeing the grandchildren playing happily too.

The children were really enjoying themselves while the adults dined and chatted. The feeling of togetherness and unity could be felt at that particular moment.

One farny thing happened was due to the recurrent birthday celebrations, Wenz was a pro in singing the birthday song. However, the moment after singing, she blew out the candle straight away without any hesitation. Yeye have not even make a wish but of course he wasn't at all angry. Wenz' action brought laughter in all. Too bad I have forgotten to bring the camera along else would have recorded it down in action.

The night ended with yummy oreomisu cake inside our tummy and we left shortly for home as the children's sleeping time was near.

Happy Birthday to 爺爺 and wish him best of health and best of luck in coming 4D. :p

Happy Children's Day!!

This is Wenz' 1st year celebrating Children's Day at her PCF school. As there will not be any class going on tomorrow, the teachers gave out the children's day presents today. Didn't expect individual teachers to give out presents to the children separately.

As a results, Wenz brought home one BIG plastic bags of goodies and of course she was very happy about it. There will be a Children's Day Carnival tomorrow instead and I have already taken leave to accompany her to the event as she will be participating in the Best Dressed Contest. I have signed her up for the contest bcos the theme is "Kids in Fairy Land". *clear throat* Isn't that Wenz' fave of being a fairy princess? Let her fulfill her dream once! :)

The HortPark - The Gardening Hub

The mummies (Christin, Elaine and me) have long planned to visit the HortPark in Southern-Western of Singapore on this bright sunny Saturday morning. Luckily the weather was good.

Didi wasn't at all co-operative right in the morning as he woke up as early as 7am and didn't nap at all after that till we reached the park.

However, it was still a fun day out for the kids. I thought the HortPark was supposed to be quite popular nowadays but surprisingly the cabbies have no idea where it is located. Christin has to call me asking the exact location and I have to call her up checking too when I boarded the taxi.

We spent some good 20 minutes taking photos and admiring at the flowers along the walkway to the Gardening Hub.

My mum and dad

Shervon and her yeye

Look at the flowers! Aren't they pretty? I set to macro mode to capture them. Something unusual that I dun get to see them anywhere.

After much admiration at the flowers along the way, we have finally reached the inside of the hub. The kids were happy and enjoying themselves running about.

Wenz was elated too with her mini flower in her hand. (oops, cannot pluck flower leh 路邊的野花不要採 but this is not wild flower is nice flower loh)

Mummy, can i let the flower 'drink' water?

HortPark is a one-stop gardening hub that brings together gardening-related, recreational, educational, research and retail activities under one big canopy in a park setting. It is a knowledge hub for plants and gardening and provides the platform for the industry to share best practices and showcase garden designs, products and services.

oh my...isn't that a scarecrow?

I brought Wenz to walk round the park and she was more than willing to follow suit. This gal really has lotsa questions and went 'why...why..why...' :)

Wenz was very observant and pointed to me that the ground has lotsa caterpillars. Initially I thot she was juz blurting out something that was on her mind then i took a look and realised there was indeed lotsa caterpillars. The crawlers that we have kept for almost 2 weeks definitely has some learning value for the gal.

Inside this park was a lot of different 'themes' like herb and spice garden, flora walk, seeds garden and even a segment on garden landscaping.

A great poser under hot sun

I love the different thematic concept. Whoa, really amazing! I guess it will be very difficult maintaining all these greenery.

Mummy, hv u finished? Very hot u noe?

Wenz' eyes went big and bright upon seeing the playground. There is a sand play portion and a water-play one and also the normal dry type of playground. Too bad the weather was too hot or rather the timing was right. The sun was scorching hot so I forbade her to play. Of course missy was a lil' disappointed. The HortPark is really a HOTPARK. :)

We walked back to the sheltered area for some hydration. Wenz was deadbeat till she laid flat on the cosy couch for a rest.

Last foto of the day before the memory card was full :p

This place was really nice except for the weather. Definitely will come back again but this time will choose either early in the morning or late noon or near evening. :p

Denz' Official ONE

Today is didi's actual ang moh's birthday, thus mummy decided to go out for a feast at Swensens. Mummy didn't expect a crowd on a weekday. No highchair was available on tat day and a gal was crying or rather yelling loudly the moment we stepped in. We were told by the staff tat she cried bcos there wasn't highchair for her. Luckily didi was sitting in his stroller and we made do with him sitting in there and has his meal.

Papa had his Mega Burger as usual and even gave a thumbs-up for it.

Didi waiting patiently and happily for his food to come.

Hmm....wat abt me?? I was busy coloring while taxing on the fries.

Yeah, dessert time!! Didi got his free birthday ice-cream and I sang Birthday song for him LOUDLY till the patrons at the next table turned their heads over and look at me. I got to blow out the candle. Well, if u think didi could finish the ice-cream all by himself then u r wrong. I was delegated the task and I 'assisted' him willingly. It was a tough job u noe, shiong ah! But no complain lah, who ask him to be my didi. I dun sayang him, who will right? ;)

Happy Birthday to you, didi!! (not something to look forward to since u will start snatching things from me :p)
