F1 Birthday Party

Denz' birthday coincided with Singapore very own Formula One F1 city night race and since he's already such a big fan of cars, this gave us the idea of getting a cake of race track design with Hotwheels as toppers. Mommy had turned the house back to its prime to welcome our guests. Even more effort put in than CNY spring cleaning. Ha! Ha!

The house was decorated with Hotwheels theme and the Hotwheels balloons as the centre of attraction. Our long foldable table had also finally served its purpose for the mini buffet spread, after we had bought it when 'Giant' supermarket newly opened at Junction 10. To keep our young guests occupied, we had also added 'Thomas The Train' playset and Beyblade stadium beside the existing Hotwheels wall-track. I couldn't tell if BBC understood the games other big boys were playing, but from his delighted expression, running around the house with others, I'm certain he enjoyed himself too!

Denz must be the joyous having received all the presents and being the limelight. He was a bit shy... paiseh... when asked to take photos and when we sang birthday song for him.

Visit To 'Garden By The Bay'

Is was rather hazy the past few days and we are blessed that the weather was nice and shrine! We got really early this Sunday morning in order to meet up fellow kins from our monastery and we were so.... sorry that we were still couldn't reach on time. It's kind of difficult to be right on schedule having to get our three kiddos ready. Hee! Hee! No excuse... We were sorry. A part from mommy, it's our first time visit to 'Garden By The Bay' since its opening a couple of months back. Must admit that we were not  really nature lovers, nevertheless, we were impressed by the surrounding architecture, especially the 'Super Tree Grove'. It was also a refreshing been on the tree top walk, enjoying the surrounding view. The kiddos on the other hand, were fascinated with the snail and millipedes they sighted. The outing was complete with a hearty meal at 'Lao Di Fung', currently located at Park Lane Shopping Centre. Their hot bowl noodle and carrot cake are simply superb!

Awesome Playdate!

Let's call this an Awesome Playdate cos Matt and Denz were saying soo.... much of the word 'Awesome!' while they were playing Hotwheels together. I don't remember knowing this word when I was kid, maybe the word hasn't existed back then. I was probably using 'Great', 'Cool' or 'Cowabunga' (from Michaelangelo of  TNMT). Well, Just a short one week break from school for the kiddos to unwind, so let's head out....

For more fun and companionship, mommy had organized a playdate with aunty Carolina. Denz was thrilled to have Matthew with him sharing the same interests on anything about cars. Even their choice of artwork that day were encircling sports car. Matthew wanted Swensen for lunch which our kiddos loved dining there too! Always excited over fries, pizzas and milkshakes. So sorry papa failed to take pics of the children playing at the indoor playground @ Causeway Point.
